We are seeking for selected volunteers for the ANAI Stream Biomonitoring Program during the 2020 winter season (roughly mid-February to mid-May). Stream Biomonitoring  Program, active since 2000, is part of ANAI’s more than 40 year effort linking social and economic wellbeing with biodiversity conservation in the Talamanca region of Costa Rica.  The job entails working with the ANAI team and local collaborators in monitoring the health of stream ecosystems in a highly diverse environment.  Duties include assistance in all phases of field work (fish and benthic macroinvertebrate monitoring and visual habitat assessment) as well as office and lab work.

26 boxes, 120 kg of material, 2 rivers crossed, 1 car and 2 trucks, 3 hours to reach the place and the most important number: 123 students (+1 student from Margarita) of the BriBri community received the school supply for the year THANKS TO YOUR DONATIONS!!
