The adventure begins in Bambú, where you will travel upriver along the Yorkín River in a traditional canoe. As you glide through the water, admire the lush rainforest vegetation and the impressive Panamanian mountain range surrounding you.
Upon arrival in Yorkín, a local Bribri guide will lead you on a walk along natural trails, sharing knowledge about the rainforest, traditional crops, and the medicinal uses of native plants. You will enjoy a traditional Bribri meal prepared with local ingredients and learn about daily life within the community.
During the visit, you will witness the ancestral process of chocolate making, from cacao harvesting to tasting artisanal chocolate, as well as other traditional arts and crafts.
You will also learn basic words in the Bribri language and discover their history, worldview, and folklore, passed down from generation to generation, practice basket weaving and roof thatching
