$149
Visit the Bribri Indigenous Territory, located in the heart of the tropical rainforest of the Talamanca Mountains, and immerse yourself in one of Costa Rica’s most authentic cultural experiences.
The adventure begins in Bambú, where you will travel by traditional canoe along the Telire and Yorkín rivers. As you glide through the water, you’ll be surrounded by lush rainforest vegetation and the impressive mountain range that marks the border with Panama.
Upon arrival in Yorkín, a local Bribri guide will accompany you through the community, offering an authentic look at daily life and the unique lifestyle of the Bribri people. You will enjoy a traditional Bribri meal prepared with local ingredients and learn about the customs and routines that shape life in the village.
During the visit, you will witness the ancestral process of chocolate making, from harvesting cacao to tasting artisanal chocolate, along with other traditional arts and crafts. You will also learn about the traditional use of bow and arrow, as well as the weaving techniques used to create the roofs of Bribri homes.
In addition, you will learn basic words in the Bribri language and discover their history, worldview, and folklore, passed down from generation to generation.
This unforgettable cultural immersion offers a deep connection with nature, tradition, and the living heritage of the Bribri people.
