Embark on a multi-day journey through the Bribri Indigenous Territory, hiking rainforest trails, crossing rivers by boat, and staying in traditional communities near the Panama border, an immersive experience of nature, culture, and ancestral wisdom connected to Iriria (Mother Earth).
The tour begins at Koswak Usure Lodge, located in the Indigenous community of Amubri. You will spend the first night in traditional Bribri ranches, surrounded by nature and the sounds of the rainforest.
Early the next morning, the journey continues with a guided hike along natural trails, followed by a boat crossing of the Urén River. From there, the route leads through the Katsi community, passing by a local primary school, and continues toward the Yorkín community, located near the border with Panama.
You will spend the second night at Finca Integral Yismai, where you will experience life in a sustainable community. During the tour, you will visit organic farms, meet local artisans, and learn about traditional livelihoods. The journey concludes with a boat ride along the Yorkín River, which serves as the border between Costa Rica and Panama.
Throughout the experience, you will have opportunities for birdwatching and observation of butterflies, insects, and native trees, while learning about the Bribri culture, ancestral knowledge, and their deep spiritual connection to Iriria (Mother Earth).
